Choices, Choices, Choices
Hello Cottonwood Teens and welcome to our online newsletter. I created this web site as a way to keep you and your
parents informed of all our activities and events we have going on in and around
Cottonwood. I hope you are having a great Summer and remember we need you in
Bible class every Sunday morning and Wednesday evening!
Everyday we are faced with hundreds of choices. Many times
I would venture to say that we are not even aware that we are making a choice.
Whether we choose to act in one manner or another or whether we choose to not
act at all we are still making a choice.
What do you use to make your choices? Do you rely on your gut instinct, do you
ask your friends, do you ask your parents or teacher, or is there something else
that guides your decisions?
The Bible tells us that whether in word or deed to do all in the name of the
Lord. Next time you are forced to make a decision take a second longer to think
about your response. Would you want to see the choices you made advertised in
the newspaper? What would God think about your actions?
We all make good choices and bad choices and we can learn lessons from these
choices, but it is important to remember that many times your actions or
inactions can have farther reaching effects than you realize.
So think them though, ask yourself what God would do in this instance and what
would He want me to do. If there is a decision that you are struggling with look
to God for guidance.
Have a great week!

Collin County Summer Youth
Series
I hope you are making plans for you and your parents plan
to join us every Tuesday evening starting June 25, 2010 for the annual Summer
Youth Series.
We start at 7:30 pm every Tuesday evening at congregations in our surrounding
communities.
After each lesson, the teens have refreshments and time to visit with young
people from other congregations. One of our goals of this series is to help our
youth to meet other young Christians in the north Texas area.
